Responsibilities
Develop machine learning and statistical models to solve business problems, focusing on demand forecasting and operational planning.
Build and implement time series (forecasting) models, including multivariate approaches that incorporate external variables and multiple internal variables simultaneously.
Perform exploration, cleaning, and processing of clinical, healthcare, and logistics data.
Collaborate with data engineers and business specialists in the design of data-driven solutions.
Build end-to-end modeling and analysis pipelines, from data extraction and preparation to making results available to business users.
Document developed projects, analyses, and models.
Present exploratory analyses, results, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences, translating statistical and machine learning concepts into business language.
Support technical decisions related to data architecture, MLOps, and modeling best practices.
Validate hypotheses and results with business area managers, ensuring adherence to operational needs.
Requirements
Experience as a Data Scientist in real-world projects, delivering models to production or with direct business impact.
Solid experience in Python and the main data analysis, statistics, and machine learning libraries.
Strong knowledge of time series (forecasting) and practical experience in developing multivariate predictive models.
Knowledge of libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost, and similar.
Proficiency in SQL and handling large volumes of data.
Experience in data visualization using libraries such as matplotlib, seaborn, and plotly.
Knowledge of the entire analytical development cycle, from data exploration to delivering the solution to the end user.
Ability to communicate with stakeholders at different organizational levels.
Ability to work autonomously on data projects, managing priorities and leading deliveries with a low level of supervision.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with the Databricks ecosystem.
Knowledge of MLOps and model productization processes.
Previous experience with health data, hospitals, forecasting healthcare demand, patient flow, or bed occupancy.
Intermediate or advanced English.
